
LOCAL RULES
Out of Bounds (Rule 27) - indicated by white posts
- Beyond all boundary walls, fences, and hedges.
- On or over all roads running through the course.
- Car park, and all areas surrounding the clubhouse.
Overhead Cables (Rule 20-5)
- If a ball strikes an overhead cable during play, the stroke is cancelled and the player must re-play the shot as near as possible from the spot where the original ball was played.
Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24- 2b (I)
- Staked trees and all new gorse plantations that interfere with a player's stance or area of intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted and dropped, without penalty.
- Fixed sprinkler heads and fixed water hydrant covers.
- Artificially surfaced pathways.
Water Hazards (Rule 26-1)
- Lateral Water Hazards are defined by red posts.
- Water Hazards are defined by yellow posts.
Ground Under Repair (Rule 25-1)
- Areas marked with BLUE posts, appropriate signs or defined by a line on the ground, are to be treated as G.U.R and relief must be taken
Stones in bunkers are classed as Movable Obstructions. Rule 24-1 applies
Penalty for breach of local rule
- Match Play – Loss of hole.
- Stroke Play – Two strokes.
